Can I reschedule?

In most cases, yes, please read the rescheduling section of your contract.

Additional rescheduling options are offered to client’s who purchase a protection plan. Please ask me about that, if interested, during booking.

What about rescheduling because it’s overcast?

– believe it or not, overcast skies are amazing for photo shoots so don’t be afraid of cloud cover ruining things.

*If you would like to reschedule due to overcast weather, a 25% rescheduling fee will apply

*please note that this policy can vary depending on your contract, please read the weather section of the contract before booking.

*please note that this policy can vary depending on your contract, please read the weather section of the contract before booking.

What about rescheduling because of rain?

If it’s raining

– rain can be amazing for achieving moody or dramatic shoots. Also working with props like umbrellas, a cute poncho, or rain boots can make for a totally fun session!

*That being said, if you are uncomfortable shooting in the rain, rescheduling is permitted, as long as it is predicted to be (50% chance or higher) or is currently raining at the time of your shoot (upon arrival). That determination can only be made 4 hours prior to the shoot time, unless I (the photographer) say otherwise.

*please note that this policy can vary depending on your contract, please read the weather section of the contract before booking.

What if I am late to my shoot?

The shoot begins at the agreed upon time. If the client is late, the photographer will photograph the client for the remaining time left in the session. The photographer will not rush to get the full session’s worth of shots or stay later than the agreed upon time. It is the client's responsibility to notify the photographer if he or she is going to be late. If the photographer does not get notification from the client after 15 minutes of waiting, the photographer will leave and the client will have forfeited their session, and no refund will be issued.

*please note that this policy can vary depending on your contract, please read the late policy section of the contract before booking.

What if I need to reschedule my planning call?

The shoot planning call can be rescheduled once, free of charge, as long as the request is made at-least 3 days in advance. If later than 3 days before the shoot, or the second time rescheduling, the client must pay a $10 rescheduling fee. The client cannot skip the planning call, as it is an essential component of the shoot process.

What about advanced editing?

Advanced editing is not included in any package (unless an agreement is made before booking). Advanced editing includes:

Extending garments, Removing distracting objects (that require more than the standard editing tools), Tattoo Removal, Large Scar Removal, Lint Removal, Fly away hair, Visible Bra Removal, Stain Removals, Adding elements in (such as extra confetti or leaves to a shot), Anything else that the photographer is able to accommodate to, Advanced editing fees are determined by the photographer after auditing each photo for editing complexity

Your images will be delivered to you in a digital gallery via email.

Where do you shoot at?

I travel nation wide! Travel charges apply.

My home base is Cornelius, North Carolina + a 20 mile radius

Example cities in service range: Cornelius, Kannapolis, Charlotte, Concord, Mount Holly, Huntersville, Mooresville, Gastonia + many more!

Out of the service range!? No worries, we can add a mileage charge and still work together.

I also travel quite a bit and post my travel schedule on the mini sessions page!

What about rescheduling because of inclement weather?

We define inclement weather as weather that makes photography difficult. We can still photograph in a light mist, temporary light rain or snow, and moderately low temperatures. It becomes very difficult to do photography in moderate or continuous rain, heavy snow (or driving conditions that make travel difficult), and extreme low temperatures.

In the case of severe weather (lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, and other acts of God), I will allow rescheduling.

*please note that this policy can vary depending on your contract, please read the weather section of the contract before booking.

What about rescheduling because of the temp?

If it’s really hot and sunny

– I will help find shaded areas that will work for flattering shots!

*If the heat index is over 110 degrees F, I will offer to reschedule

If it’s chilly

– make sure you have things that will keep you warm enough to still enjoy your shoot – scarves, gloves, hats, thick socks, etc.

*If the temperature is under 15 degrees F, I will offer to reschedule.

*please note that this policy can vary depending on your contract, please read the weather section of the contract before booking.

Can I cancel?

There shall be no refund of retainer after purchasing the photography session. If the CLIENT cancels at least 10 days before the scheduled session, then the total minus the retainer will be refunded to the CLIENT (only if the CLIENT has already paid in full). If the CLIENT requests to cancel later than 10 days before the scheduled session, then no refund will be issued. Cancellation must be in writing via email to ashley@ashnicholephotos.com even if a phone call was made to inform the PHOTOGRAPHER of the cancellation. In the event of a cancellation, the CLIENT must also sign the cancellation addendum.

What is the shoot planning call ?

The shoot planning call is essential for client’s who book customizable sessions. During the call, we will select the shoot location(s), outfit(s), overall style, etc.

The shoot planning call date and time is selected during the booking process.

I recommend choosing a date about two weeks before the photoshoot.

What elements of the photo do you edit?

I strive to keep the natural beauty of all of my clients in my images; therefore, I do not make major alterations to any element of my photos.

All my client’s receive standard editing, Standard editing includes:

minor blemish removal, skin smoothing, color and lighting correction, the removal of distracting objects (when the photographer deems necessary and feasible to accomplish with standard editing tools)

When is my payment due?

All clients are required to pay a 50% deposit to secure their date/time. The remaining total is due before the session begins. If the final payment is late, a 10% late fee will be billed and must be paid prior to the scheduled session.

*please note that this policy can vary depending on your contract, please read the associated section of the contract before booking.

When will I receive my edited gallery?

All client’s are guaranteed their gallery back within 3 weeks of the shoot date.
